September is National Recovery Month, and in preparation we once again got the chance to partner with Recovery Alliance Duluth (RAD).RAD provides peer-based recovery support for individuals and families experiencing substance use disorder. So needless to say, recovery month is something they celebrate BIG. There are events throughout the month, a large walk, awareness efforts, special offers at supporting businesses. All sorts of fun stuff.RAD’s promotion for recovery month included a campaign around the theme “Recovery is Real”. We helped them deliver this message by creating several billboard designs. In addition, we built a webpage that contains all the information surrounding the month's events.Image selection was the largest part of our creative process for this project. We wanted to capture people that felt sincerely real and true while showcasing the message that substance abuse, and therefore recovery, happens to all kinds of people. We also wanted to show a supportive community, without showing huge crowds (we're still in Covid times after all).
