University Lawn Care was initially developed to help young, ambitious entrepreneurs manage their own small business during the summer. The name started as Lawn Care Express, but as the direction of the business started to focus on providing leadership for college students I worked with the owners to re-name and re-brand it as University Lawn Care.  The focus of the design was to create a seamless bridge between the ‘College Look’ and a lawn care company.  The result is a very clean, very distinctly recognizable ‘U’ mark with a leaf in the negative space.  The word ‘University’ is based on the typography found on many of the nations campus buildings with a wide sans serif ‘lawn care’ beneath it.  Educational materials such as the brochure, business cards, email signatures and a WordPress website were a few of the creative elements that we created as a marketing and design effort for ULC.
