Linnea Jungwirth

Linnea Jungwirth joined the Šek team in June of 2023 as our Junior Production Designer. She is from the small-ish Minnesota town, Waconia. She came to Duluth for school where she graduated from the University of Minnesota Duluth in the spring of 2023 with a Graphic Design BFA and an Art History minor. Growing up in a small midwestern town, she saw Duluth as the perfect choice for her to get a feel for living on my own, while still being close to family.

Linnea’s favorite thing about graphic design is typography. They say a picture is worth a thousand words, but she argues that type can convey just as much. Each font is an opportunity to make a brand or design come to life and really give it a unique feel.

When Linnea is not designing, you can find her anywhere outside, most likely though by the lake looking for agates and sea glass. Besides adding to her ever-growing collection of rocks and glass, she loves to go hiking, mountain biking, rock climbing, and camping. To her, there’s nothing better than spending a day amongst the trees. (She already speaking like a true Duluthian!)

What is a unique family tradition you do every year?

Almost every year around Christmas time since I was about 7 years old, my aunt and uncle put together an elaborate scavenger hunt on their 40+ acres of land somewhere in the backwoods of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. These scavenger hunts consist of multiple days of deciphering clues, trekking out into the woods at night, uncovering buried treasure under ice, and most importantly a whole lot of laughs and memories. At the end of the hunt, we all receive our Christmas present and spend the rest of the day playing board games inside.
