Lyric Opera of the North (LOON) has been performing opera in Northern Minnesota for the past 14 years and they were looking for some help with their upcoming season. The first two projects included a poster for Mozart's Don Giovanni, which the director set in 1930's Hollywood. The poster design includes Don Giovanni opposite 3 figures, all women, who have a range of reactions to his presence. Citing the director's notes (Christina Baldwin) "But, when my young daughters asked me what this opera was about, the answer that came out of my mouth was different than I anticipated. I answered, "It's about people who stand up to someone who needs to learn that there are consequences to his actions."Stay tuned for more LOON posters and programs which will be designed in preparation for the 2018-19 season.
