Tamara Diedrich, Principal Geochemist and MineraLogic President wanted to give her employees a thoughtful gift as a thank you for their hard work and flexibility throughout the Covid-19 pandemic. So she commissioned Šek to create custom artwork that spoke to the work MineraLogic does. She wanted the illustration to not feel salesy or promotional. Instead, she wanted it to be something people would want to wear shirt or see on a coffee mug.The design came together as clean line drawing. It incorporated a scene of Duluth with natural geological components. The company's name was woven into the artwork but in a subtle way as a secondary element.Custom projects are some of our favorite to do. It gets us back to our traditional creative roots.
