What’s in a name? Maynard is the middle name of 5 generations within the Johnson family. Although Maynard Flooring is a new business, it’s not a new practice Brandon, the owner. He’s been in the world of flooring and carpeting for his whole life and he decided to create his own business, complete with a soon-to-arrive robotic loom from Germany.
We provided the guidance for naming the business as well as developing Maynard’s branding. We wanted to provide a brand that felt fresh, but still rooted in the early beginnings of their family trade. The Maynard logo, contains characteristics of brands from the early 1900’s, with flourishes and features that remind the viewer of rolled carpet and flooring.
