Olivia Webb

User Experience Designer

Olivia started at Šek in December 2022. After living throughout the midwest, Olivia decided to established roots in Duluth based on her love for the area and everything the north shore has to offer.

Olivia received her BFA in Expanded Media from the University of Kansas. Afterwards, she applied her skillset of photography and videography to social media marketing for 2 years before she decided to go back to school.

Since graduating with a Master’s degree in User Experience Design from the Maryland Institute College of Art, she has designed products for non-profit organizations, small-business owners, and large scale bio-technology operations. She enjoys working directly with clients to determine their needs as well as the needs of their audience. She will always ask questions and is excited to take on new and challenging obstacles.

Olivia’s goal at Šek is to provide clients with impactful design by implementing her knowledge of UX practices to every product. “I firmly believe that user experience should be considered in everything — it can be applied to teapots and doorknobs just as well as mobile applications and website design.”

Aside from necessities, what one thing could you not go a day without?

I’d have to say peanut butter. When I was in art school, I carried a jar of peanut butter in my backpack with me at all times. I wouldn’t have survived those 3 hour long studio courses without it. Since then, I always have a jar on hand for long car rides, working sessions, and camping trips.
